Rachel Moell is a painter and printmaker currently living and working in Cleveland, OH. She studied Painting and Printmaking at the Cleveland Institute of Art and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2019. Her work focuses on turning moments within quotidian living spaces into an extraordinary sanctuaries that offer a sense of warmth, care, and security. Through mark, color, and collage she is able to achieve a nonsensical narrative in which she asks the viewer to bring their own associations of objects and domestic spaces and unpack what is being presented to them. Moell curated and showed work in A Flowering Pep Talk at Popeye Gallery and was selected to be in the 72nd Student Independent Exhibition at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She worked as a shop assistant in the Printmaking Department at the Cleveland Institute of Art and worked as a shop intern at Zygote Press.
